CONVERSATIONS ON THE HUDSON

Today I visited Nick Hand in his studio to pick up a copy of 'Conversations on the Hudson'
A book by Nick about his journey down the Hudson river, and Craftspeople he met along the way.

I produced a series of tiny vignette illustrations for the book (A small selection above), depicting tools surroundings of the featured craftspeople, which sit alongside Nicks photography.

Its an inspiring little book, featuring transcribed interviews with very interesting people, and is available from Abrams & Chronicle Books

I had a really fun time last week at the Colomiers festival in France, exhibiting prints and originals with Rob Hunter, with a lot of help from Judith Taboy and Angela Francis from Nobrow.
It was a fantastic festival with some amazing publishers and artists, including (to name just a few favourites) .. Super-Lotto Editions, 2024, Les Machines, Vincent Pianina and many others...

I was very excited to find out recently that an orchestral piece had been written and performed recently named after, and partly based upon my comic book Dockwood.
It was composed by Christopher Mayo for the Manchester Camarata, and Christopher has written a fascinating blog post about its creation HERE.
